Sydney's startup calendar spans developer summits, founder festivals, and university hackathons. Notable non-Sydney events — SouthStart (Adelaide), Intersekt (Melbourne) — are worth the trip for serious founders. SXSW Sydney was cancelled in 2026 after NSW Government withdrew funding.
